Walmart restocks Pokémon TCG more often than any other US big-box retailer. Catching one is the difference between paying $5.99 retail and $$40+ on the secondary market.

When Walmart restocks Pokémon

• Online: Wednesday and Thursday mornings, 6am–10am local.
• In-store: overnight Tue/Wed pallet drops, stockers move boxes 7–10am.
• Set releases: drop windows compress to 60 seconds for hot sets.

The 4-step catch playbook

1. Join a restock Discord that runs Walmart SKU monitors (every 2-5 seconds).
2. Save your shipping + payment in Walmart account so checkout is one tap.
3. When the alert fires, click the direct add-to-cart link — never search the SKU manually.
4. Cap quantity at 1-2 per SKU. Higher quantities trigger anti-bot checks and cancel.

In-store: what most people get wrong

Driving to Walmart on a hunch is a coin flip. Walmart's app shows aggregate state stock, not your specific store, so the only reliable signal is an in-store monitor (most paid Discords run these). Show up between 7am and 10am and ask in the trading-card aisle, not customer service.

What to buy at retail

Booster bundles and ETBs have the best resale arbitrage. Tins flip for 5-15% over MSRP; ETBs and booster boxes flip 30-100% on hot sets like Prismatic Evolutions and 151.
